a source for laptop batteries??

i have an older laptop i want to get some information and charts out of. i just tried to boot it up and the battery is shot!! does anyone have a source for rechargeable batteries??? thanks charlie

don't know if they sell batteries, but I bought a replacement lcd screen from these guys and it was right on

c'mon where's the ingenuity? a 12 volt battery and a couple of wires... your good to go. realisticaly now, i buy my electronics from pricewatch.com, newegg.com

this is a "compaq presario 1200" and i designated it to gather data from my power quality data loggers. it has been stored for two years and the battery will not hold a charge or even charge enough to boot up. it seems that i have replaced the battery once in the past, but i forgot where i purchased it.

Try simply taking the battery out and using the external power supply to run the laptop.
