Abandonded conduit and boxes

Where does the NEC address abandonded conduit and boxes for systems above 50 volts.

I looked in the index under "conduit" and I didn't find any "abandoned" heading. I don't believe there is such a provision. Just my opinion. :smile:

Probably because they don't pose a fire hazard in and of themselves.

I put covers on the boxes and label them as spare ( for the future ) unless the job specs. call for the removel of all unused conduit. If there is any real bad looking conduit ( bent or mangled ) I try to remove that.

Nothing makes me so happy as finding spare conduit when I need it. :smile:
