ABB motor "peckerhead" hubs

I am wiring some new motors, and the hubs in the peckerhead will not accept my sealtite connectors. Several are 1" and some are 3/4". The connector starts threading but immediately gets tight, before we even get one half a turn. The supplier stated that the motors are "sold globally" and they have never had this complaint. Does anyone have any information regarding a connector with a different thread? Google has failed me so far...

Is it possible that it's metric?

The "sold globally" would strongly suggest that.

:happyyes:

Motors are intended for fixed installation only. Unless
otherwise specified, cable entry threads are metric
. The IP
class of the cable gland must be at least the same as those
of the terminal boxes.

In our area the solution is "Bubba, go get me the BIG wrench" :D

Cross threading with the BFW is kind of a one-shot deal though.

Officially, you need these:
I'm surprised that the motor supplier didn't offer them or even include them. I used to occasionally use Brook Crompton motors from the UK, they came with them, put inside the peckerhead for you.
