Hi All,
We are working on designing and permitting an EV Charger project but our plans did not pass first city plan-check due to potential damage that our trench and conduit may cause to the root systems of a row of trees in the pathway. I am learning they take the welfare of trees very seriously in many CA municipalities. We are planning to have an arborist visit the site and provide feedback on any potential pathway, but I am thinking the most likely solution is to have at least part of the conductor run above ground or at a shallow trench depth.
Can anyone suggest a means to run this conductor above ground or at shallow depth that is both code compliant and also will aesthetically blend in with the well-maintained landscaping of a corporate office setting?
The row of trees is in the direct pathway to the charger landing spots, and going the distance to avoid them would increase the project cost considerably.
Feedback much appreciated
