Here is the question I am bringing 3each #12s,1 each #12 green and 1 each#10 green from an outside junction across 35 feet of yard in a lengths of 3/4"pvc 10 inchs down. To a spot 6 foot away from above the ground pool where I plan to put the pump.
My thinking was drill a hole or use 1 of the existing screws that put the inside metal liner together remove the outside nut attach a terminal lug to it then run a piece of #8 bare copper from the lug to the "Unistrut" station I built to support the twin gfcis inside a 2 gang pvc box.
I plan on drilling a #12 hole threading the hole attaching a second lug on the unistrut. Then taking the other end of the #8 to it and attaching to the same unistrut. Then attaching the extra #10 that I ran thru the 3/4" pvc thru the side of the pvc box thus bonding the pool liner to the unistrut then onto the house at the outside junction box.Attaching a "IN-USE" cover.
Do I still need a ground rod at the unistrut area?
No permit just dedicated to doing things at the code or slightly better than the code.Cause its the right thing to do.
