AC bonding strip

I have Nema Wc 70/ICEA S-95-658/UL 4 for armored cable, type AC with insulated ground wire and #16 awg bonding strip, steel or aluminum interlocking armor with green stripe.

The above is being used on 40A breaker. My question is would #16 awg bonding strip be of sufficient size or not?

The bonding strip is only there to shunt the sheath coils, the insulated conductor is the EGC.

As long as the cable is listed with the jacket as the EGC it doesn't matter what size the bonding strip is.
