I have a normal DC to AC inverter (bought at Cabela's) which provides a modified square wave output at 120VAC, 60Hz. This is fine for non-sensitive electronic equipment such as lights, cell phone chargers, small appliances, etc. But when I run a ceiling fan (or any motor), the motor is really loud. This is because of the modified square wave. Does anybody know of any devices that can turn a modified square wave into a pure sine wave? I have tried capacitive/inductive line filters with no luck. Or should I spend the money and buy a pure sine wave inverter? Thanks.
