AC Disco Seal Tight

I had a question regarding seal tight from an AC disco to a HVAC unit, I've always heard the seal tight can't be longer then 6' but can't find specific wording in the code that states this. Is the 6' more of a trade standard then a code requirement?

There is no limit on the length for trade sizes 1/2" and larger as long as it meets the support requirements.

That is correct but liquidtite used where flexibility is required (like an AC unit) would require the EGC anyway regardless of length.
