I am trying to hook up a 12v motor to run off my 120v generator but am having some problems. (FYI: I am new to learning electrical dos and don'ts.)

The motor is a 12v motor that carries a 50 amp continuous flow.

I have (2) questions.

1. What would I need to convert the power so it can plug into the generator? Given the amp draw it looks to be pretty severe.

2. I want to lead/cable to be 100' or so from motor to generator if possible. What would I need to do to accomplish this?

Thank you in advance.
