Asking for advice and help. I’m wanting to get AC to the bed of my pickup, under a cap/topper. Can’t open rear truck cab window via a boot between topper and cab. Thought about getting someone to tie a 2000 Watt inverter to my battery and running it to bed of truck. Then plugging in a portable AC to cool the bed. AC unit supposedly pulls about 1000 watts max (but believe me, I’ve only learned this in the past 24 hours). Don’t know who I’d get to do this. My 2nd idea is to get a 12V marine battery, build a stand, and attach battery to inverter to Portable AC, all in the bed of the truck. I could charge the battery every night, but would it run the AC unit all day? All of this is to be able to haul my dogs (they can’t ride up front). Any help or further ideas appreciated.
