Hi everyone havent been here in awhile i dont do much res. or com. work anymore just do street lights and traffic signals . i need help wight AC unit have central ac in house outdoor unit starts hard and stops hard need to know if theres a way to make it soft start . Thanks for your help .

Fairly common.
If unit warranty is an issue you should check with the manufacturer.

Need to look at why it is starting hard...
Long lengths of refrigerant piping,
Liquid getting back into the compressor.

Have the HVAC people look at it first to make sure there's not a problem with the unit itself... such as bad caps or excessive refrigerant pressure.
