I like to know what protection is in an isolation transformer that have earth ground on primary and secondary?
Is this safe for the tech?

Isolation transformers generally provide little in the way of protection from electrocution. They might provide some level of protection from arc flash depending on the specific situation.

The purpose of an isolation transformer is to create a separately-derived power source that has no grounded circuit conductors. This is to minimize the risk of shock from contact with a circuit conductor, because there is no pathway back to the source through earth or nearby grounded surfaces.
