Acceptable wiring methods for industrial 24V DC lube circuits.

I have to hook up a couple Castrol LubeCon units to lubricate some industrial conveyor chains. I was supplied with a reel of 3 conductor cable & a reel of 6 conductor cable. Each cable looks like it contains approximately #18 AWG conductors. I do not see any info indicating cable insulation or type. For installation speed / ease it was suggested I run the 24V DC cable exposed and ty-raped to the outside of existing conduits. Is this an acceptable (NEC) wiring method? Is conduit required?

Most of this cable installation can be run up high in the ceiling but some will have to be run near floor and very close to running conveyors. In the factory I see some bridle rings on beam clamps used for some similar looking cables (mostly run up in ceiling) ? Are bridle rings an approved wiring method?

The only electrical info I have about the unit is as follows:
Specifications Advanced System Controllers
Power Source is 24 VDC supplied from reservoir power supply
Output power: 24 VDC
(EEProm) Programmable Microprocessor (Does not need battery backup).
Surrounding ambient temperature cannot exceed 1500 F for control units.
Circuitry: Solid State
PLC Interface capabilities

Any NEC references would also be appreciated.

It entirely depends on the class of the circuit.
If the system can be classifed as Class 1, 2 or 3 per Art 725:
Class 1 uses a chapter 3 wiring method, so typically can't use portable cord
Class 2 and 3 you can.
Conduit can not be used for attachment of the cord

(B) Raceways Used as Means of Support. Raceways shall be used only as a means of support for other raceways, cables, or nonelectrical equipment under any of the following conditions:
(1) Where the raceway or means of support is identified for the purpose
(2) Where the raceway contains power supply conductors for electrically controlled equipment and is used to support Class 2 circuit conductors or cables that are solely for the purpose of connection to the equipment control circuits
(3) Where the raceway is used to support boxes or conduit bodies in accordance with 314.23 or to support luminaires in accordance with 410.36(E)

You got me looking at 725

You got me looking at 725

I am not familiar with this part of the code and am finding it difficult to understand. I look at 725.21 and I don?t think the Lube Unit power supply fits this category (Class 1 pwr limited).

I?m thinking it is probably Class 2 or Class 3. I look at 725 Section III and I?m thinking I better spend some time reading this over and try to make some sense out of it.

Should the equipment have some kind of labeling to indicate the Class? I am at home now ? but I didn?t see any information on equipment or in installation manual on what class circuit / power supply it is. No info on pwr supply VA or other valuable info.
Thanks for response ? your info is very helpful.
