:-? Anybody here install access control systems? Specifically Honeywell pass point plus. I have an ademco 6139 keypad that I cannot clear the open circuit fault, despite the fact I have entered the correct code of 00 and every other code up to code 31. The main logic board on this system cannot be communicated with by my pc. This all occured after updating the firmware, which completed correctly. any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Ron

Sounds like a lunch Time keypad, Monday Keypad, Friday Keypad...
OR Dead I/c chip in the device, a dropped parcel, the list could just go on.

Did you boot your CPU once ? (I'm sure you have)
If files are written into Windows that doesn't mean there being played/read, not until XP, negating NT.

Return to sender, call the service tech, smoze the counter-guy, get'r done. I'm no help, just the Cheering squad of 1.

installed a ton of access control. Sounds like your using an expansion module for a burg panel. Not the most reliable ACU. Try upgrading to a true access control system such as software house's APC controllers or Lenel.

upgrade a Pass Point to a Software House? major cost difference, system sophistication, etc.
I agree with that. Software House is a little pricey and certainly not cost effective to use on a small system.
BTW: S2 is a nice system.

The address should either be 00 or 01, I cannot remember of the top of my head. THe OC error indicates either an open in the data lines or a bad address.

Passpoint is a true access control system. It was Ademco's answer to Northern (before they all became Honeywell). It was well suited to small systems, user friendly and very inexpensive.
