I've got a 260A-4P ATS with bypass that I need to shoe horn into a space. I will of course have front clearance. But Russelectric's requirement is that one of the three remaining sides also have access which is I believe only to terminate the cables.
Since this is a "one and done" connection and no one is likely to have access to live parts via this side or rear connection, do we still need to have the 4 feet of clearance warranted by the table in Article 110. In the back of my mind, it seems to me that there is a provision in the code for such instances. i.e. access to non-live parts. Is it true? is there a table?
Thanks,
Mike
