Does NEC require separate circuit for exit signs 120v with battery backup?
Do these exit lighting signs have to be on separate circuit?

No generator, transfer switch, egress lighting.
Just a battery sign. And ADA opener.

thanks!

Requirement is to be on same circuit as lighting in area served. You want to the e-lighting to turn on if the lighting circuit looses power.

Here is an excerpt from 700.12(F):

The branch circuit feeding the unit equipment shall be the same branch circuit as that serving the normal lighting in the area and connected ahead of any local switches. The branch circuit that feeds unit equipment shall be clearly identified at the distribution panel.

I do not see where the NEC requires a dedicated circuit for individual unit equipment.
