add in light switch

It may sound simple, but I want to make sure. We have 277v lighting in the office. Six lights run off of one switch. I need to add a switch on the one light that is at the projector screen. Can I break the hot leg and run it to a 277 switch. I can break the connection at the fixture.

Simple enough that it scares me that you are asking it and working with 277V.

I am sorry but I feel that maybe a regular electrician at your plant could better guide you.
