Does adding a knock-out to a panel void any type of warranty? What I've got is a 200A 3R main breaker panel that I need to get another entrance into. It currently comes with provisions for up to a 2 1/2" "B" type hub to be installed in the top, I am looking to add a 2" opening in the back and use a water tight hub. Thanks.

There is often a restriction on KO's in the top, it will say somewhere in all that stuff on the sticker on the inside of the panel. Adding new holes below the live parts is okay or at least I do it all the time with no trouble.

I opened a panel the other day and they came in (2" 200a) in the space above the main. Made for a very tight bend to land the wires, I think maybe they worked it from both ends. Did that myself with a meter socket, concentric KO just below the load lugs, back to back service, bent the wires and pushed in to the panel to land them.
