Right here.
You mean a sound card? Didn't know they made a computer anymore without a sound card. It's as simple as popping off the side of the computer and plugging it in one of the slots. When you restart the computer, the add hardware wizard will automatically take it from there.

All XPS 210?s have onboard sound. If it?s not working you probably have a driver issue or some settings that are incorrect. I have no idea which sound chipset or software Dell is using so can?t be of much help. Dell support is probably going to be your best bet.

oh no my sound works fine I just want to be able to listen to my Itunes in different parts of the house. Im positive the computer doesnt come with a big enough amp to power extra speakers. I thought about remote satelite speakers but Why not just run some wire and do it right?

You can access the manual (PDF) at Dell support. From what I gather, your system is surround sound capable...

Note: For typical stereo operation, the usual connection is "Line Out". (You will have to set up the output configuration through your computer system's audio driver.) Also be aware that audio connections are also "line level", i.e. pre-amp level. Your speaker system needs to have an external amplifier.

Musta been typing at same time

The outputs of your computer system are not amplified. If you're not aware of any existing audio amplifier, it is likely builtin to one of your current speaker enclosures.

There was a recent problem, W/XP with some of the music tuners that are down-loadable.
Example, loose of sounds all together, being one major issue, the fix was to delete them all and boot... add & or XP might just pick up orginal software,(about time, Bill)

I missed - Amping the CPU, Life goes on, I suffer with Bose cpu speakers...
