Adding twin lugs to a single lug.

Hi guys, I want to add twin lugs to my 200 amp feed through panel, so I can feed 2 smaller sub panels. The bolts sizes on this panel board, behind the existing feed through lugs are really small, and I can't find any panelboard lugs with bolt sizes smaller than 5/16". I think these are like 3/16". Also I cant do an add a lug breaker style because my circuit spaces are all used up. Could I do like a transformer stud lug or how would you go about it? I cant post any images because it won't let me.

Add a 100 amp sub panel by moving 1- dp breaker or 2- sp breakers to the new panel. This will give you space to add a sub.

Hi Dennis, unfortunately yhe application won't allow me to do that, I've thought of it. I can only use the existing feed through lugs on the bottom.

Land a 200 amp conductor on what is there and use three port Polaris tap or equivalent. Run to a junction box if not enough room in the load center for what you need.

IMO you need to find a single hole lug listed for two conductors.
I cant find anything that will comply with my panelboard. The existing lugs have double bolts that are smaller than 1/4" bolts. They hold the lugs in place on buss bar. Don't they make anything that I can insert into the existing single mechanical lugs and mechanical tighten down?

I have come to that conclusion. I do have room for that. Its kind of strange that there is nothing on the market for such an application.
