Can you use 310.15(B)(7) for the feeder to an ADU ?
Primary residence has a 200 amp service with a feeder to an ADU. Load calculations show the 200 amp service is adequate.
The wording of 310.15(B)(7) : "For onefamily dwellings and the individual dwelling units of two-family and multifamily dwellings." seems to indicate it is permissible..
Specifically we have a #2 AL feeding a sub-panel in an ADU. Can this be protected by a 100 amp breaker ??

You must still be on the 2017 NEC, its now 310.12 in the 2023. Two dwellings off one 200A service? I'd say yes one can apply that to the feeder, just not the service.
The problem I run into is 240.24(B)(1), the AHJ here wants the tenants to have access to the service equipment.
