I understand these jobs are complex and its up to me to be thorough.
The E page is not even close to scale. If the scale says the room is 13' ,,, its more like 11'6"".
When I go to the detail page to see my location for a gfci on the counter top, it doesnt show the outlet, so I measure the cabnet , sink , back splash etc. Easy enough,, them I have to look at the furniture equipment page to find a paper towel despenser where my outlet goes or a hand sanitizer where my switches go.
For the outlets by the beds I need to measure cabinet width then devide the remainder of the room in half because thats the bed ,, then 2'6" from center is my outlet.

Is this normal for a layout?

Sounds like a government design

Do you have access to good PDF software. You can scale everything out pretty accurately that way. Some can even lay one sheet over another. Even a non computer user can learn to scale in just a few minutes with Adobe, Plangrid, Bluebeam and others.

E pages over interior finish or furniture plans make layout pretty easy and often you find conflicts that can be resolved before they are costly changes. I like to put fire extinguishers on there as well so as not to run EMT through that section of wall.

My page and the A page arent the same size. To do an overlay.
Im checking out software as we speak.
I wont let them get me down.

Nice. Thats what I need, there are too many variables for each room ,, an overlay could cut my time in half.
Ty very much

As im reading and re reading 517.18/517.19
Exam, observation and treatment rooms are "general care areas"?
The drawings show 8 receptacles at the bed. Im just double checking.
The defenition of basic, general and critical reads like they are basic care areas.

I am assuming you are at the installation stage, maybe try to find out why you don't have a good copy - chances are it is not the final copy, or they backed out on a designer and you are working with somebody else-es preliminary plans or something goofy like that.

I think you are correct, theres something going on here that has tell tell signs of trouble.
The E page isnt even close to scale and we have tried to resize the original and its locked down and will only print one way,,,,,, wrong.
I have asked for the right scale but they seem to resolve the problem and dismiss my concerns.
I think somebody cut copied and pasted my pages, there are too many simple mistakes, such as duplicate circuits, 2 normal circuits with the same circuit number and one of them the device is a criticle circuit device and my favorite is on the first set the device is on the wall that the equipment is on but I get a revision and the devices are now on the wrong wall and they werent even part of the revision. Last but not least I have x amount of rooms on one side of a hall and directly across the same rooms, and they are to mirror each other, but its obvious someone dragged and dropped the counter top plugs instead of flipping them. Rooms on the right plugs are left of sink,, rooms on the left the plugs is center of sink.
Im learning the hardway how to do my job and not the architects.
