AFCI and GFR

I recently purchased a new,4 bedroom home. The contractor only installed two AFCI's (put two bedrooms on one 20 amp circuit). One circuit has two outdoor receptacles (with ground fault receptacle installed). I tried using a pressure washer on one of these receptacles, but the AFCI breaker kept tripping. I moved the washer to a receptacle in the garage with no problems. Also, while washing the house, when I water came within two feet of the GFR, the AFCI tripped again (which leads me to believe it is not water tight or another problem exists in the wall).

Any suggestions on what I can tell the contractor to correct?

Re: AFCI and GFR

See nothing wrong other than they should be bubble covers. The tripping indicates a possible problem with the washer.
Somehow i don't think your happy with this house.

Re: AFCI and GFR

There should be an AFCI trip diagnosis sticker on/near the panel somewhere, or a sheet that came with the breakers describing how to trouble shoot a trip. I'd follow those instruction first.
