I wanted to be sure what type of breakers are required now for residential construction . I know every 120 v outlet has to have AFCI protection now . I have already installed GFCI receptacles in the proper locations . I know they have breakers now with both AFCI and GFCI protection . Is it ok to leave the GFCI receptacles in place and use a regular AFCI breaker for those circuits ? I know also that the AFCI breakers now are CAFIC .So that is what I would use . I understand the C is for continuous in the same lead like between two conductors in a wire nut . What am I missing ? I thought AFCI breakers always did that before they added the C . If someone can advise me what breakers are required now , I will be grateful . thanks
