Had a buddy say they had to replace all the devices in a hotel room. This was an older hotel, so none of rooms had the afci breakers etc.. He found out that now they have to go back and replace them again because the receptacles were not afci protected even though they had not touch the branch circuit etc..
Where is the article that says all the new replacements have to be , afci protected. I know that replacing kitchen receptacles that you need gfci replacements. The clients had complained about the costs of all the afci receptacles compared to the regular receptacles. I still don't believe that the afcis have proven themselves completely.
So the kitchen has to have gfci/afci tamper resistant receptacles now and , the bed room etc.. has to have afci/tamper resistant receptacles. alot of them.
