AFCI-Hotels

Per the NEC, AFCI protected outlets are required in residential bedrooms. What about hotel rooms?

If the hotel room meets the definition of a dwelling unit then yes, afci protection is required. See 210.18 of the 2005 NEC.

I agree with Bryan. But take a look at the definition of dwelling unit, most hotels don't qualify as a dwelling unit.
