This is the third job where new copy/scan machines don't play nice with the AFCI.
Oddly enough, the first job was Siemens, second was CH, and today's job was a Square D QO, so I covered some different manufacturers. All three were 20amp circuits dedicated to receptacles within the office.
Are there any work arounds for the future? Any possibility of adding an exception to the code for the next cycle of semi-permanent home offices (built in desks)? All three jobs were attic conversions, so I understand the future possibility of someone changing the home office in to a playroom/bedroom/nursery, but with built in countertops and book shelves, it makes it a bit more permanent.
