Referencing recent thread about the # of LED fixtures that apparently cause the AFCIs to trip.

One of the solutions was to install filtering to smooth out the noise the AFCI interprets as an arc. Won't this also reduce the effectiveness of the AFCI in doing its job should the need arise?

I think it will, they need to make leds to be compatible with all the variables here .
