florida code & 2008 nec. in a commercial building renovation, the building's ocupancy is an emg. services ( fire rescue, ems ) with 2 small
bedrooms for sleeping, it also has a kitchen-dinning room combo, hallways, & office space. we know the bedroom recpts. are going to be
on afci's, is the lighting, hallways, dinning rm, etc also required to be on afci's.

Imo, yes they all are required to be afci protected if it is part of the living area. I assume there are provisions for permanent cooking. We have had difference of opinions on this with fire stations
