AFCI or GFCI

The Current code has no requirements for kitchen lighting or Outside lighting. I would like to see some mentioning of it. Some inspectors seem to think they write the code as they go. So I think it would resolve alot of issues and keep things kind of standard.

The NEC is pretty clear about having them on AFCI. And as far as the outside lighting is concerned the building code covers it. What is the question??

If your inspectors write the code as they go the problem is NOT what is or isn't written, it's the inspectors.
