AFCI overheating

I read that no more than 2 AFCI breakers should be stacked together due to overheating. I am a home inspector, and checked the temperature of the breakers in a panel. The standard CB's measured 106 degrees (hot day in San Diego) and the 3 AFCI breakers each measured 130. Should these be seperated? Is there a code reference?

Re: AFCI overheating

Circuit breakers are thermal devices and will generate some heat. Keep in mind that if they operate at 60?C that the temperature will be 140?F. That is quite warm but is OK and the same thing applies to wires that are loaded. If you have concerns, I would recommend you have a qualified electrician take a look at the installation. :D
