for you guys on the new 2008 code how are you guys dressing your panels. With just 5 afcis in a panel those pigtails can look pretty nasty. So is there something new on the market or do you now have 8-10 afci breakers with tails in a panel?

I haven't worked in any 2008 panels but I would simply uncoil the white wires and roll them in with the other whites terminating on the buss.

Cutler Hammer makes an afci that locks on to the neutral bar without any pigtails,they work slick and look nice.

Make them as neat as possible just like all the other wires in the panel.

On a related note, be carefull with the SQ D afcis, they are gigantic. Feeder wire placement can be a problem when it comes time to install the breakers. So I've heard.

They also cover up the neutral/ground bus screws in Homeline panels. :roll:

I usually try to put them down lower on the bus to keep the neutral terminals exposed up top.
