No, 2020 AFCI requirements are same as they were in 2017 AFAIK.

2020 did change GFCI requirements, in particular unfinished areas of basements has been replaced with "basements" in the dwelling units section.
 
The AFCI requirements as far as the areas in a dwelling unit that require AFCI protection are unchanged from the 2017 code. If you have the NFPA Handbook, the code text says that all 15 and 20 amp, 120 branch circuits in a dwelling unit requires AFCI protection. That handbook is not correct.
 
It is not a yes or no question. Are you following the State’s Code for residential installation or the NEC?

Some states do not recommend using AFCI’s such as the State of Michigan.
