AFCI receptacle accessible in cabinet?

is this for a replacement of existing receptacle , or new circuit. You probably cannot extend this circuit to more outlets as the micro if built in must be a dedicated circuit most if not all the time.

Because if new circuit you cannot use a AFCI receptacle as you must protect the entire circuit.

Is an AFCI receptacle considered accessible if it is inside a cabinet above a microwave? Thank you

NEC 210.12 uses the two-word term "readily accessible", not "accessible".

One must not need a "portable ladder" to reach the OBC AFCI in the back of a cupboard above a microwave. This can be a tricky call, and the ultimate answer lies in the opinion of your local Authority Having Jurisdiction.
