Went on a call ealy last eve AFCI for kitchen recessed fixtures and 1 Dinning room fixture trips intermittently. This just started about six weeks ago after Owner put in new CFL's in dining fixture, Tripping is not instantaneous, it takes about ten min for AFCI to trip, pulled out CFL's in dinning fixture after 15 to 20 minutes it held then replaced again with CFLs then after 12 min it tripped again. Could I have a bad CFL?

CFL's in some recessed cans have been notorious for tripping AFCI. Two things cause this-- first is the pointed base on some cfl's and the other is the siocket design of the can. Halo, which I use exclusively, has been notorious for this issue esp. with the H99 cans but I have had problems with the H7 cans also.
