I have been in the field over 15 years and never had to do a AIC short circuit calculation on a 200amp main breaker panel where I am just installing 2 40amp each car charger, 1 service outlet and a surge protector.
Can any body direct me on this please....

Is the panel part of a larger service or the only service panel ?
(unusual to need a calculation on a "stand alone" 200 amp panel"
The Bussmann app FC2 is a decent method to address the issue.

Typically your branch breakers will series rate with the main breaker and the vast majority of those (unless it's older) will be 22k which is usually adequate the vast majority of the time. Is an inspector wanting you to show that the existing service is rated for the available fault current?

OK, so I am coming out of a transformer that has a 150 kva , installing a 200 amp service (Meter Panel) and from there going to 2 40 amp car chargers...

With 150kva transformer he might have a valid question.
My transformer chart shows the "standard" SCA to be 43k
How long and what size is the secondary feed to your service ?
