MDSW removed the tray and it's contents before the Air Fryer had completed its programmed cook cycle. We heard it beep later and ignored it. Completed supper, did dishes, reinserted the tray. This morning, 12 hrs later, I tripped and reset that GFCI. The fryer came back on to the previous nights settings. You must push CANCEL to prevent a restart for this model.

That is a feature not a bug. You sometimes need to flip food over, shake it around, etc. If it cancelled your cook cycle every time you open the drawer, that would be inconvenient. If you are done, press cancel. Ours doesn't stop right away on a Cancel, it seems to run a bit as it cools down. Not sure that is necessary, but it seems better on things to let it cool a bit if you can.

We had a similar experience last week, the power went out for a few minutes, a little later my wife went in the kitchen, and the air fryer was on and heating, we hadn’t used it for about month before this, it won’t stay plugged in anymore, we also have one of those fake electric fireplaces with a small heater in it, we noticed that it would come on at high heat whenever it lost power and was reported, we noticed that some time ago and now it never stays plugged in!!
