Air Insulated outdoor Medium Voltage Switchgear

Besides cost why would someone specify air insulated switch gear over gas insulated or solid dielectric for outdoor applications. 15kV-38kV... Any thoughts?

Air insulated is more common, therefore better parts available, more available experienced workforce, easier to maintain...

Edit - by air insulated, I mean vacuum breaker based switchgear.

If you have the real estate air is the logical choice
if a small footprint or the need to enclose it in a structure the others are a better fit
