Does anyone know of a way to remove water from a pit 6' deep with compressed air ? I have seen a method back a few years ago where they used what they called a steam jet to remove water out of a pit. They used steam from a boiler to do the job. Does anyone have anyother ways of doing it without using electric pumps.?

I don't have a clue?

you could try a garden hose......works for me when I need to get gas out of my car:grin:

They make some kind of venturi pump. Air or water has some presure change going by the orifice, creates suction.

Compressed air is one of the most expensive sources of energy to do mechanical work. What is wrong with an electric pump?

.

two more: drill a drain hole.

You could have a container with a check-valve in the top/side that allowed water to flow in. Once the container was full, you could shoot air through an inlet pipe in the top of the container. The check-valve should close to make the water flow out another pipe in the bottom of the container. Once the water flow stops, cut off the air and let the container fill again and repeat.
