I have an MCC and disconnect switch installed using 70x70 tubular steel with an 1830mm height from the roof surface. They are installed near the HVAC equipment. The distance is 1–1.5 m from the HVAC equipment, as these will provide power and control the AC equipment on the roof. The height of the AC equipment is less than the height of the electrical equipment support. Should I install the lightning air terminal on the support or directly mount it on the AC equipment?

This forum on on the NEC, some or your terms are not what we know. Also we can’t advise on lightning protection, that is a specialized field
