I am currently in the process of pricing an aircraft hanger with no electrical drawings. The customer wants lights recepts. etc. I plan to locate the main panel outside to avoid the hazards location. He wants recepts on the interior walls every ten feet. I had thought about placing a yellow tape marker five feet from the interior walls and paint " aircraft engines and fuel takes cannot cross this line" or something to that effect. I am try to avoid wiring the building in rigid conduit explosion proof devices and the like. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

All outlets have to be GFI and anything within 5 feet of any part of airplane is considered "hazardous location" Must use either pipe or MC cable.. I just finished a hanger... best to get it inspected without plane insid

I think you are on the right track, paint it off, then you designed it to have your wiring outside of the Classified Area's. Shouldn't be a major issue. Follow 513.
