Lyle,I designed a complete system many years ago and it becomes very involved with lots of rules,,,,,,,,,,,,if you are doing only the construction side then the engineering dwgs should govern if you are doing both it would be a tough job IMO.
A purchase commital to a particular vendor sometimes gives you all the facts and even some engr.
Do a google search for "Cooper Industries Airport Lighting" it ought to get you a good starting point.
