Here’s situation. Have four main feeds from MS-A that to gofirst MC board of each grouping( only attached pic for one grouping) then theytap from the first and feed either one more or two more MC panels(you can seefrom MS-A schedule). They want to see a deduct to go from these cooper feedersto aluminum bus duct. My engineer said he looked at the MS-A schedule and thedevice rating and assumed the aluminum bus duct size based on that. Soessentially MC-4,7 & 10 would be feed by a 1600A aluminum bud duct, MC-13& 16 would be feed from a 1200A bus duct etc. etc. All MC panels are the same size ....800A

Does that make sense calculation wise? Thanks.

Calculation wise it may well make sense. Since you haven't shown us the results of those calculations there's no way for us to tell you. However in general the feeders only have to support the calculated load that they feed. As long as that is the case there should not be an issue.
