I'm not 100% clear if what they are asking for is correct. Tapping extg. feeder to feed 400A MDP-6. Note #3 is asking for (6) #300 Al & 1 #300N. My questions.

According to ampacity of #300Al it looks like this is (2) sets each containing a 3#300 hots and 1 #300 neutral.
They don't ask for a ground, shouldn't they?

Thanks.

Guess it is just one 4". Never seen this configuration but the 6 conductors can fit. Why no ground?

Each Ø is comprised of 2-300 kcmil conductors, the neutral load is small so there is only 1-300kcmil neutral. With the 80% derating adjustment your adjusted ampacity is 2 * 260 amps * 80% = 416 amps.

Yes i know but hey then do so many feeders have a ground with them? Thanks

Why are some cars blue and some white?

Personal choice, perhaps an issue with fill?

I have chosen to use the conduit as the EGC to reduce the pipe size needed.

It used to be common to do so, now people get all freaked out when you do it. :D
