Does any one know if there are any restrictions in installing raw GE alarm Printed circuit boards in media cabinets such as On-Q, Leviton, Channel Vision, Open House?

I have come across the alarm Printed circuit board installed in the Structured wiring cabinets. It seems to me that the alarm printed circuit board should be in it's own cabinet.

I don't believe the board is available by itself, he must have removed it from it's box and put it in there. The alarm panel does have a UL listing and I don't know if it would be voided by this.

If it's not intended to be done this way by the manufacturer I wouldn't do it. Apparently this is what happens when alarm guys get involved with more than the alarms they should be doing.
