I'm up in Alaska talking with a buddy about wind power and am wondering if any of you guys know anything about wind generators, in specific, a Skystream 3.7 by Southwest Wind.Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The machines I generally work with are 600-3000kW each and in groups of 10-450 machines. Our firm designs the electrical collection systems, substations and transmission lines for gathering the power from wind farms and delivering it onto the grid. Most collection systems operate at 34,500V and are 3-phase underground using up to 1250kcmil conductors.

Thats quite a bit bigger gear than what we are looking at here. My buddy lives on a bluff over looking Cook Inlet and besides an incredible view he has an almost constant breeze and would like to harness some of that energy. I believe we are going to see a huge increase in the use of wind generated power in the near future. Sounds like you are on the cutting edge of that now.
