I have 2 books each giving conflicting / different formulas to calculate capacitive reactance.

My old Federal communication commission / fcc book says Capacitive reactance =

1 divided by 2 x pie x frequency x capacitance

My other book by AJ WATKINS electrical installation calculations says it’s

10 to the root of 6 divided by 2 x pie x frequency x capacitance

Which is correct?

The image you posted is too small to read.

My _guess_ is that the two equations are in different units.

1/(2 pi F C) is correct for frequency in Hz and capacitance in Farads
10^6/(2 pi F C) is correct for frequency in Hz and capacitance in microfarads

Awesome thanks for clarification
