Allen-Bradley Power Flex 40 Drive is exhibiting High voltage Fault ?

What to check ?

What might be the possible causes and their possible remedies ?

Primary cause: lack of understanding about how drives work and what makes them cease working, leading to the user ASSuming they can decelerate a motor without braking resistors just because the drive has a programming parameter that allows it, but they did not bother to read the entire manual because that would take too much time.

Shorter version: see response #1, it's all in there.

The high voltage it is warning you about is in the DC bus, not necessarily the incoming supply voltage, though I suppose if it were too high could give same results. As mentioned too rapid of deceleration without breaking resistor to dump some energy into. I'm pretty sure you were recently asking questions about braking resistors, so this maybe is in relation to same installation?
