I have a sand bed under pavers around inground pool. If I tie the single #8 bare wire to multiple rebar points from the pool and bury it 4-6 inches, is this acceptable in leiu of the fairly expensive grid. From what I can tell, the grid applies to a pool with no steel, not the perimeter, two different articles, you know?

In Florida, either grid or ring around the pool 12 to 18" from the water burried 4", connected at for points to the pool sreel.
