Rated al/cu fitting/splice kits are available on the market.Personaly I dont like to use splitbolts,I prefer compression couplers (depends on wire size)

we tie al and cu together every day in load centers, as I am sure you know. The trick from my POV is to use enough grease to keep dielectric oxidization from occurring. The special wirenuts are what I use as well. I may add grease.

The listed ways are purple Ideal wire nuts or the Alumicon set screw things.

The correct way is a different story.

Some people make the arguement that tens (hundreds?) of millions of simple wirenuts have been in use for 30 years without issues.

IMO, no manufacturers want any liability asscociated with AL wiring so they sell over priced gadgets to pay for insurance premiums.
